Do You Know Him? JESUS, the Name Above All Names

Jesus-King-of-Kings-3-768x432

For God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be savedHe who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

As our world stands in crisis and we are forced to practice “social distancing”, we are finding ourselves in a place we have never faced before.  We are living in a culture where our “control” over where we go and how we live out our lives seems to be slipping away.  It’s interesting to see how we as a culture can tend to feel a façade of peace and goodness in our lives, when we think we’re in control of something.  However, take that control out of our hands and we become prone to fear and anxiety….thus the media hype and sense of paranoia.

The fear and anxiety begins to reveal what we truly place our hope in and begins to expose the reality of our hearts.  Are we placing our trust in the wrong thing?

Friends, we have a Promise given to us in the Word of God, the Bible, that whoever BELIEVES in the Son of God, shall not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE!  This Son of God, His Name is JESUS, and He loves YOU so much that He gave His life for you!  The Word tells us that All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23).  But God, our Heavenly Father, had a plan since the beginning of time.  And that plan was that He would provide us a Redeemer that would take our sin upon Himself and pay the ultimate price of death to sin by being nailed upon a cross.  He did this so that we would be Justified freely by this amazing Gift of His Grace.  He paid the price for sin so that we wouldn’t have to!  We are saved by His Grace, through Faith in Christ Alone!     (Ephesians 2:8)

This is ‘Good News!’  This is thenews’ we need to focus on.  Our Hope is in the Goodness of Christ and the Promises of God’s Word.  Do you Know Him?  Do you Know Who He is and the Attributes of His Character?  If we choose to allow our thoughts to focus on the character of Christ and the Goodness of God, then I believe we will experience His true Peace.  Our fear and anxiety will be turned to Joy and Thanksgiving, for we know He cares for us!  Watch this short clip and may it remind you of all the Goodness of God!

  1. Thank you for the truth of these words….such great reminders of TRUTH to focus on in these crazy Corona times! Our HOPE doesn’t rely on our earthly circumstances, but on the eternal HOPE that we have through Christ!
