I sure wish we could be sitting together somewhere looking out at the beauty of fall colors that are starting to usher in a new season! Oh, how I’d love to be taking in the savory sips of a piping hot Pumpkin Spice latte with you as I share this song! But for now, this will have to do….and I’m so glad you came here today. I encourage you to take a moment to yourself, put aside the cell phone and the long to-do lists, find yourself a cozy little space and PAUSE…
Breathe in the fresh, cool air of Fall
Look out to the beautiful scenery around you
Allow Him to captivate you by His Holiness
Listen for Him to speak to YOU
I believe, when we lean in close, when we stop to observe His wonderous Creation, when we quiet down the outside noise and begin to listen for His Voice…..It is THEN, that we make way to receive all that our loving Heavenly Father so desperately wants us to know about Him and about His heart for us….
He wants to tell you…..
….that YOU are Loved
….that He sees what you are going through
….that He knows the beginning of your story
….AND He knows the end AND all the days in between
….that there is a purpose behind all that He allows into your life
….that He is with you Always.
Precious Sister, I know these days are long and some are harder than others. I know that to us what these days ahead may hold may feel a bit uncertain. But, let us not forget that we are to live our lives here in light of eternity! This not our “forever” home. There is a place that He has prepared for us that is far greater. And until that day He calls us home to be with Him forever, we have the blessing of living life on this earth, being confident that He has not left us alone!
As His Daughters, saved by the Grace of Jesus, we have the promise of His Holy Spirit. HIS Spirit that came to live in us the moment we said “yes” to the Grace of God!
We can’t forget that although the circumstances in our world can work to distract and discourage us, there is TRUTH that we must hold on to!
Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in ME you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have OVERCOME the world!” John 16:33
As we hold on in our hearts to the reminder of the HOPE that we have in Jesus, Our Overcomer; the HOPE of His Holy Spirit dwelling in us; the HOPE that there is a far greater place being prepared for us; may we take time to pause our daily routines to notice His Presence, to see His Hand at work and to listen for the Voice of God.
